Trespass America Tour

Today I went to my first "REAL" concert!  It was called the Trespass America Tour and it was largely bands I had never followed.  However, after tonight I will be following a couple of them.  I enjoyed it highly.  It was quite a rambunctious group of fellows.  Robert, Allan, Ryan, Ryan's brother....and then little ol' me.  True to form I was the designated driver, which didn't bother me even a smidge!  It was a loud night, and I have a slight headache coming on.  I hear the boys in the kitchen discussing the concert using their outside voices.  Overall it was a fun night.  I'm going to take some Ibuprofen and hit the hay.  Here's some pictures and video from the concert!!!  Nighty-Night!  Rock on!  Wooooo!

Steampunk Night

Tonight was Steampunk Night at Monsterland.  I dressed the part somewhat, and ended up in a magazine photo for the event!!!

Job Interview & Bowling

Today I had a job interview at PayPal for a Merchant Services position.  I feel really good about it.  They seemed really happy with the fact that I am a small business owner and that I have been using their services for a good number of years.  Overall I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get a phone call with a job offer in the next couple of days.

True to form, Robert and I went bowling tonight to practice for league, and I snapped an awesome picture of him! Also, we signed up for a 9-Pin fall league!  So excited!!!

You know that movie, Snakes on a Plane?  Well here's the secret sequel, Ants in my Car!!!  Somehow there is suddenly an infestation of ants in my car!!!!  WHY!?

I'm going to cry and rock myself to sleep while curled in the fetal position now....stupid ants.

Steak N Mash Twice in One Day!

Today I got to visit my favorite family!!! The Gaskins!  I've missed them so much, it seems like it's been forever and a day since I saw them last.  Chance and Scooter are best friends and Scooter has grown up so much, he's pretty much a dog now...not quite a puppy anymore!  In the standard Gaskins style they took me to Lonestar Steakhouse.  And my steak lunch was very delicious!  It was very nice to catch up with them.  I miss them and wish I saw them much more often than I do.

 Also, for dinner, Rob and I made steak and mashed potatoes, with rolls and mac n cheese!  Steak Twice In One Day!!! W00T!!!!  I love this kid!

When Your Life Gets Packed Into Boxes

Today is the day that I officially moved out of my apartment.  My room is empty, and all of my belongings were not so neatly packed into boxes and shoved into a moving truck.  I rented the truck all by myself, and parked it all by myself...I was proud!

And now my stuff is all just sitting in the heat in a 5x10 tin box...sad day.

Poker Night

Rob and I host a poker or gaming night on average of once a week.  Tonight was no exception, except that it was the largest one we had so far.  I didn't get pictures of the second table full of people, but it DID happen.  I think there was around $1200 in the pot that night.  And Rob won a sizable amount of it.  In this picture I will name those in attendance starting with the fellow in the green hat and going clockwise.

Date Night

Today Rob and I drove down to Tempe Marketplace to see Campaign and to grab some pizza.  Unfortunately the place we went for pizza didn't have anything to accommodate my sauceless needs.  However, there was a really good gyro place and my lunch was delicious.

Campaign was an ok movie.  To be honest it was good because I laughed a lot, but it was just like every other Will Ferrell movie...and since I know that he has the potential and ability to go outside of that particular comfort zone style I was hoping this movie would offer something more.  Zach Galifinakis is hilarious, and his character in this movie made me a tad uncomfortable.  All in all....not for kids....but good for laughs.

More Dentistry

Today I took Robert to the dentist to have 4 of his teeth removed.  Two of which were his wisdom teeth.  He was really nervous because he's never been under general anesthesia before.  However, he did survive...and unfortunately he was a little crude to the dental staff while he was still loopy....I imagine we will laugh about it for years to come.  In the meantime...he's not swollen yet, but he is complaining like a baby.  I'm taking care of him the best I know how to since I had to take care of Derek as well, years ago, when he had his teeth removed.  I suppose I also had to take care of myself when I had my teeth removed...but I'm not a baby and it wasn't bad at all for me.

LOL, on another note, I asked the dentist office for a copy of Robert's X-Ray so that he could have it for laughs, and maybe hang it up in his room at the shop!  Well I better go check on him and remind him to take his evening medicine.  Tonight on the dinner menu: Mashed Potatoes and Macaroni & Cheese!

Cleaning

Since I still don't have a job, I decided to do a deep clean on the house today.    I'll just post the before and after pictures...and take a nap, I'm exhausted now.

New Hair Again #2

Alright!  I got my hair fixed...mostly.  It is currently as blonde as it's gonna get without risking it getting super damaged and possibly falling out.

Interesting fact: This photo was taken at Club Tattoo shortly before I had a job interview there.  Wish me luck!
