I Have Chewers

For the first time ever I have dogs that enjoy chewing on things that are not their toys.  So far they have started eating door frames, drywall, and shoes...OMG the shoes.

Introducing Daenerys Lee Wilson! 

Rob's co-worker rescued her from a rattlesnake pit from some awful kids that were poking at her with a stick.

She is likely a pup of a stray or wild dog and was probably born in the desert. No other puppies were found, she was all alone. We haven't taken her to the vet yet to determine age or breed, but we are guessing that at this point she is likely 7 weeks old, and probably a shepherd or heeler mix of some kind. I guess we'll find out with age.

She is a little fighter this one, smart as a whip with a personality to match. She's been happy to go in her crate, and doesn't have any accidents, and she sits to be fed. She responds to her name and also drops something she shouldn't have when we tell her "Eh-Eh". 

Leo & Dani get along famously and they are already almost inseparable. Can't wait to watch them grow up together!

Date Night

Today Robert and I had a nice date.  We saw the movie The Conjuring (I hate scary movies...this was definitely scary) then we had a great dinner at a BBQ restaurant, and we ended the night by playing Magic at Samurai comics.  Now we are just cuddling in bed and watching Netflix.  I feel so fortunate!

A Positive Update

This post is dedicated to everyone that has told me that I don't post anything positive. I am happier than I have ever been in my life. Sure, it's been a struggle starting all over in the last year, but it's been worth it. I've sold some possessions at times to afford more important bills, but it's not the norm. Robert and I have been married almost 6 months now, Leo is growing like a weed. We have a fantastic house, 2 awesome cars that are low maintenance. We both have great jobs with that we enjoy most days, and so many friends and family members that continue to be there for us. I look forward to becoming an aunt in the coming months because my sister Lacy is expecting her first. Rob and I have our spats and arguments, but we have so much fun and have been enjoying a new hobby of playing Magic The Gathering together. He makes me laugh constantly, and I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend. We can take on whatever life throws at us, and life HAS thrown quite a bit our way over the last year...we continue to persevere and overcome. We are happy, and blessed.
