Some Stuff...

Alex officially started her Intermediate class on Saturday. It looks like it's going to be fun, a nice group of dogs. Including a great dane and a neopolitan mastiff! Fun.

I chopped all of my hair off on Monday. OK, not all of it, but it's definitely more comfortable than it was.

Today I took Alex and Jackson to the dog park again. There was quite a few more dogs there this time. It's really starting to heat up fast out there. I wish summer would wait...forever. I think they had fun, and we met Lacy there. Jackson was very excited to see her.

Alex's First Time at Cosmos

Today Derek and I took Alex and Jackson to Cosmos Dog Park. It was our first time there since the birthday party we went to several months ago, and it was Alex's first time. My what an interesting experience it was. There was barely any dogs there today, so we had the water area all to ourselves (until some jerks decided to ruin it). Jackson was swimming all over and Alex tried to a couple times...but for the most part she just ran through the water.

All in all I think they had alot of fun. We really need to socialize Alex with other dogs more though, she gets so nervous still.

My Little Girl Graduates

Today was the day that Alex graduated from puppy class. Not only did she graduate, but she passed her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy exam! I was so proud, though in my opinion she still isn't quite on the same level that Jackson was when he graduated. But we worked with him alot more.

I decided to go ahead and sign her up for Intermediate. She will start exactly one week from today. With any luck we'll be able to go through all the classes start to finish with no breaks and her CGC by the time she's 8 months old. A mom can dream eh?

This little girl is such a trouble maker, but I love her so.

Custom Design

My co-worker, Michelle asked me a couple days ago about possibly designing her a tattoo. She didn't know exactly what she wanted and was vague telling me only she wanted a mermaid.

For days I thought about something that to me represented what I think she is. A bubbly personality, kind spirited, and somewhat out of the box. I presented her with the single idea I came up with and she seemed to love it.

We'll see how it goes I guess.

Photos from Riparian Preserve

I took the puppies for nice walk around the Riparian Preserve again today. It was really nice and I really saw that Alex loves the water too. I can't wait to see her and her little webbed feet swimming through the water with her big brother Jackson.

A New Door Opened

Today at work I was offered the part-time trainer position. I happily accepted under the conditions I would still be able to be a part-time bather to keep my loyal customers. They agreed!

I need to call the "Scotts" company: the fertilizer I used on my backyard that was guaranteed to make it greener and healthier seems to have killed it. I'm super bummed.

Riparian Institute

Today was my first day off in quite some time since Chad, my former co-worker quit. And I accomplished quite a bit and it made me happy. First I washed all the laundry, and most of the dishes. Then I assembled the new lawn mower and mowed the lawn. I fertilized the yard after that and watered it down really well.

Then Kevin took me and the pups to the Riparian Institute. It's a really nice bird sanctuary place with lots of fishing and small trails. The dogs loved looking at all the ducks, a couple even walked right across the trail and said hi. I think it was a really nice place and look forward to going back again soon!
