Divorce....Just A Seven-Letter Word?

No...Divorce is NOT just a seven letter word...it's so much more than that. And it's happening to me.

Derek and I were together for 7 1/2 years...and I....I walked away from it. I wasn't without my reasons. I never led people to believe that I was unhappy in my marriage...I don't believe in airing my dirty laundry for people to hear. I'm not hear to call Derek a bad guy, or to say that he wronged me. He's a wonderful man, I love him alot, and I want him to be happy. But he'll be happier with someone other than me....and I think I could be happier - without him. That's very difficult for me to say though. Makes me sound like a horribly selfish person....and maybe I am.

But...it's what I needed to do.

And I'm scared.

Testing The Waters

Today was the first day that the dogs tested out the pool. They had so much fun, and I very much enjoyed it as well.

Go in the pool already!Fetch!Don't they look like they are having a blast? I can't wait to enjoy an entire summer of watching them play in the pool.

Happy Birthday To Me

Today is my 24th birthday. I woke up incredibly sad...don't know why. I cried all morning. I decided I needed some time alone and went to Chandler Mall to clear my head. It did help, and I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing....I still need time to think.

The House Is Ours

Today we moved into the new house! What a rush it was to pack up all those boxes in one evening.

We hired a moving company to take care of all the big moving. They were such nice guys....so worth it!
The guys were super nice...lots of jokes and singing....they definitely earned their tip.
Their truck was completely loaded with boxes and furnitureBy mid day our new house looked like this!
The garage has never been so empty...and we left all of the wood.
While Derek was at work I packed up the remaining little things...and enjoyed a pizza.
Today we say goodbye to our very first house together...the house where we lived through our engagement, raised Jackson, got married, raised Alex, honeymooned, and went through our share of ups and downs!

Katherine's Christmas Present

FINALLY! Katherine's present from Italy has finally arrived! Can't wait to give it to her.
Custom made, hand painted glass. Her name is also on the back.

Bye Quinton

Today we had the going away party for Quinton. He leaves tomorrow morning for his immersion program in Utah before he goes to Argentina. He will be missed. Derek and I took him out to our new favorite restaurant: Cadillac Ranch. We all enjoyed the Mac'N'Cheese.
Then some tom-foolery to be had between brothers.

A Fun Little Outing

I had so much fun today with Derek! He took me and the dogs out for the day. We stopped by the house on Gila today to see it one more time before finding out if it's ours!
We went to Jersey Mike's sub shop, and....it wasn't so great. LOL. But regardless, we had fun. It was nice to spend time together for a change where we aren't just sitting at home watching tv or playing games.

Bella's Last Outing

Today I took Bella to the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert. It was kinda hard because I think it might just be her last outing, and it's my last appointment with her. She did very well, and made lots of friends....I'll miss her!It was such a beautiful day
And everyone loved Bella...She loved all of the attention.
