7 Years and Counting

I am so fortunate that today I got to celebrate the 7th glorious year with my husband Derek. He's my rock, my strength, my inspiration, my biggest cheerleader, my shoulder to cry on, my favorite person in the whole world. I love him so much!

We celebrated in the best possible way fitting. 3 years and 9 days ago Derek proposed to me in Hillsboro Oregon inside of our hotel. To celebrate that special day we saw a movie I had been talking about for weeks: Kung Fu Panda. So it was only appropriate that today as we celebrate 7 years together and our 2 year wedding anniversary we celebrated by seeing Kung Fu Panda 2. And it was amazing. What a wonderful night!

I love you Derek
Happy Anniversary!

Back From Alaska

I'm back everyone!

7 days in Alaska, and surprisingly uneventful unfortunately. The last time we went was much better. This particular cruiseline did not exactly impress. The food was hugely lacking, the times scheduled at port was at odd hours and alot of excursions were not available due to the early or late hours. The weather was lovely though, cold and drizzly the whole time. I went to the dance club pretty much every night.

Derek and I beat Yoshi's Island while we were on the cruise, and we saw several movies that we enjoyed: Tangled, Megamind, The Little Guardians, and Despicable Me. Awesome. The view from ship on the first day out. This is the only picture of me from the whole trip...I took like 10 pictures of the whole trip.I loved looking at all the little fishing boats.Burger Queen! They were supposedly the best place for a fish sandwich in all of the area....but they charged like $18 for a fried fish sandwich...so needless to say we didn't buy any.The green of Alaska is so beautiful, and I loved that everything is covered in Ivy.What a rebel!!The little tram that gave you and eagle eye view of the town...Dereks mom and sister in law were on the tram at the time the picture was taken. Waiting for our food to come.....wasn't that great.....at all.The best part of the whole trip! I met Libby Riddles who was the first woman to win the Iditarod. She autographed two of my books and we discussed dog training for quite a time. It was amazing!!

Overall, Alaska was beautiful, as was the weather. But the company of the trip and the cruiseline somewhat soured the experience.

Taking a Walk with Chance and Rusty

Today I went to go see part of my favorite family! Judy and Trinity have been out of town visiting family on the East Coast. So that left Joe alone at home and he decided to remodel the bathroom while they are away. Oh dear, Joe. So I decided to come over to spend some time with Rusty and Chance to take them for a walk and play since they hadn't gotten alot of attention the last couple of days.We walked around the blockAnd Rusty sniffed everything in sight! Then we went across the street to Encanto ParkThey were so happy and had so much fun! These are 2 of my favorite boys, besides Jackson. :-)

I leave in 3 days for Alaska! So excited!

Last Day At Petsmart

Today was my last day at Petsmart. It feels wonderful to be free from that place! My students took me out for frozen yogurt to celebrate. I didn't get any pictures, but it was very nice! I loved sitting with a bunch of people I consider my friends, and some of the cutest puppies on the planet! What a way to end 3 years of Petsmart misery!
