It Snowed Today!!!

Yes, It snowed in Mesa, AZ. It was amazing!

To quote Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas"

What’s this? What’s this? There’s color everywhere.
What’s this? There’s white things in the air.
What’s this? I can’t believe my eyes, I must be dreaming,
Wake up Jack, this isn’t fair.
What’s this?

Me and Derek went to IHOP tonight with a gift card we had for there. It hit the spot!

He LOVES fruit syrup

Gift card well spent!

Merry Christmas!

We started our Christmas off by oversleeping until about 11:30am. It was awesome!!! We cuddled with the dogs and enjoyed some time together.

Derek's dad stopped by around 12:30pm and brought us our gifts and stockings (along with stockings for the each of our babies!) The major gift that he gave us this year was this:A Kodak Sport rugged video camera. It's waterproof up to 3 meters...it's pretty much for me to use when I'm hiking or trying to film the dogs.

After that we head out to Derek's mom's house. We opened our presents:
Hobby Lobby gift card, and a JoAnns Fabrics gift card! Let more crafting begin!Dinner and a movie: Harkins passes and a gift card to Outback Steakhouse. He also got clothes.

We played a fantastic game called Dicecapades and it was very interesting and fun. I came in dead last...and I mean...I moved like 5 spaces the whole game when everyone else was able to finish the remaining 60 spaces...LAME. But I still loved it. After that game was over we headed out to my dad's house to see him for a couple hours. My dad's fiance, Lisa the Wine-Er was loving her glass of Hersiversififenburgen. That's not what it's called, but that's what they called it since it was a German wine.My dad found the picture of Jackson and Alex in their Christmas card picture to be both humiliating for them, and extremely entertaining.I told them they would never guess what was in the boxUUUGGGGHHH! It's poop! Gross!Oooh! It's soap! Cute!Oh the things that soap will become a prank of. I love my dad! Those are two of my favorite people in the whole world. I love them so much and I wish I got to see them more. It's sad that the hustle and bustle of adult life has deprived us of the visits we used to enjoy so frequently. Now I'm lucky to see them a handful of times a year. This is the reaction to a song I played them. If it's any explanation, the song was called "Then She Farted" and I felt like it fit them to a "T". I was right! They laughed so hard they were crying.Me and Derek in front of the Christmas tree....very similar to last years picture if you look back to last December. I'm wearing the AWESOME shirt that my best friend Michelle got me.They are so in love. They are perfect for each other. But don't even try to understand them. They are crazy but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Twas the Night Before Christmas....

And all through the house, not a creature was stirring....who am I kidding, we were all up! We pulled a very late night and celebrated Christmas with the animals so that we would be done with it on Christmas Day and have time to celebrate with everyone else. The puppies looking in their stockings
Here's the bounty of our Christmas Tree....but it's all for the animals!Jackson and Alex nose deep in one of their stockingsI was sad because the squeaker was broken on the dragonThen I laughed because I realized they didn't care if it squeaked or notGiving Jackson and Alex their new Hip and Joint chewy vitamin supplementsOooh, the treat stocking!Jackson getting his new bed!Jackson is so happy on his new bed with the momma! It was so cute when they shared the bed to play with their toysAlex catching the ballTiger got some cute presents too...she loves feathers
She also got vitamins, and a weebly-wobbly mouse that is tap activated to light up and squeak. That's what it looks like when it gets tapped

All and all the animals loved their presents...absolutely spoiled rotten. Probably going to get them collars too in the near future. Debating between leather, or safety collars...maybe both. Oh well. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Finally Looks Like Christmas at the Jarvis House

Don't ask me why I waited until 3 days before Christmas to put up my decorations, because I have no clue. I think they turned out pretty good considering everything is hung up with Command wall hooks which are definitely not designed to be hung on stucco.

Someday (probably years from now) I'll hang up lights around the roof like I'd like to.

Well here's the decorations I have up:

A Thorosaurus Christmas

Today I went over to Thor's house before Samantha leaves for Texas tomorrow for the holidays. I wont get to see him for 3 weeks after this. Since she's going to be gone for the holidays she has no decorations up or anything. And I felt bad because I knew that she would want Thor to have his first Christmas and for it to be special. So I took some Christmas pictures so she'd have something to remember his first Christmas by.

No pictures please!
Who needs Dasher, Dancer or Rudolph when you've got Thorosaurus! In his sweater by the stocking I made for him.The ornament he is looking at says "Puppy's First Christmas"He loves the Charlie Brown Christmas treeHey mom, what's in the bag?Well I'm gonna find out!BONE!I'm a sloppy drinkerCorrection: A VERY sloppy drinkerI love you guys!Insert Chewbacca noiseBut Mooooooom!
