Maternity Photos & Bowling

Today I spent the day with Katie. It was the first time I attempted this kind of photo shoot....maternity pictures. And quite frankly despite the harsh light of noonish Arizona, they turned out rather well and everyone is happy!



After we got done with that, Derek's mom called me and informed me that the pregnant pitbull mix she had taken in temporarily had 11 puppies this morning. Joy! I can't wait to see them! 1 of the little boys unfortunately passed away though.

Then at 6 I went bowling with Derek's work and had a pretty good time despite the fact that I only bowled like a 55 or something. One of my worst scores ever. Oh well, better to get humiliated in public right? I think the most fun was when Derek and I played a couple round of air hockey in the end. I love that man of mine. Now we are going to watch some old school Saturday Night Live before bed!

The Next Step

Today I started training at Petsmart to be a Dog Trainer. I started by getting tested on my knowledge and then sitting in on a couple classes taking notes of what I do and don't like in the classes. I need to make the classes my own, my personal style. I need to start working on scripts. I'll start that on Thursday.

A Busy Day

Yesterday was such a busy day, so busy in fact that I had requested it off over a month ago just to accommodate everything. In the morning I took Alex to her training class. She's doing much better, really coming out of her shell.

Then I went home, dropped her off and went straight to my friend Katie's baby shower. She recently learned that she is having twins: a boy and a girl. I am happy for her. Just bummed that she lives all the way in Maryland now and I never see her. Hopefully our lines of communication will still stay somewhat open now with Facebook and texting. I like seeing her progress. I'm making the twins crocheted baby blankets, but I imagine I wont finish for a couple months. Oh well, she's due in October, I've got time.
After the baby shower I came home and spent some time with Derek. His car was vandalized the night before, as well as 15 other cars in the neighborhood. Not the best fact of the day.

Then I went to Crystal Coll's (the lead dog trainer at my store and my soon to be boss) for a garden party that she was having to celebrate her and her partner Jodi's long renovation on their backyard. The yard was amazing and the party was fun. I even sang karaoke twice!

Yes, a busy fun-filled day.

So is today. I just got home from work and now I need to clean house because my dad and his fiance will be here in a couple hours to see Jackson and Alex, then take us to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant for dinner. I'm excited, I don't see them very often. Oh yeah, cleaning.

Today Alex's certificate and medal came in the mail from the AKC for her obedience achievement. She's a good little girl.

I Passed!

For anyone who had been wondering what the status was of my MAT155 class. I passed. Not only did I pass, but I passed with an 88.8%. I'm pretty proud of myself considering this was my 3rd attempt. Thank you Mike Richmond!

The Tattoo

So I don't know if you remember me talking about the tattoo I designed for Michelle last month. Well yesterday she surprised me with it. She got it! I think it turned out fabulous with the little bit of tweaking that the artist did.

Today I did a photoshoot with Michelle and her dog Stewie. They are going to be for her mom to put in the frame Michelle made her for Mother's Day. She seems to be really happy with how they turned out.
